To apply for a credit card, you must have a permanent job or have your own income. Banks won’t lend you money if you don’t have a way to pay your debts. Usually credit card holders must have a minimum monthly income of IDR 3,000,000.

The amount of your reported earnings is one of many factors that the bank considers whether you will be approved or not. And if approved, how much credit limit is given to you.

3. Have a Good Credit Score

The next credit card application requirements is to have a good credit score. A credit score is a number that evaluates and grades your creditworthiness based on your credit history. If your credit score is good, chances are your credit card application will be approved.

A poor credit score (for example due to a history of late bill payments) can make credit card approval difficult. The credit score ranges from 300 to 850. A “Good” score is considered to be in the range of 600 and above. If you have a high credit score, you have a greater chance of being approved for a credit card or other loan.

4. Complete Forms and Documents

What is no less important is the completeness of the data. Usually the bank asks for a number of documents such as a photocopy of ID card, photocopy of TIN, photocopy of salary slip, photocopy of account mutation for the last 3 months, and others.

After you submit the requirements to customer service, then you will be asked to fill out a credit card application form. Follow all instructions and wait for confirmation from the bank.

There are various reasons why a bank may reject your credit card application. Therefore, you should be able to prove that you are a good candidate for a credit card, based on your ability to manage credit wisely and maintain your monthly payments.

More or less those are some of the requirements for applying for a credit card. If you want to have a credit card, you should complete all of these requirements. In addition, you can also ask customer service if there are other conditions that must be met.
